somewhere right around
the middle of June
for once it was my fault
we had no summer
i was too stressed
about the possible fall
a side quest
turned four-lane highway
running parallel between towns
a route so unexplored
i became the first
Benedikte at University of Tartu
someone has to pave the way
hopefully another will follow
and draft a direct flight, too
i will admit, for years
i despised university
i am a covid-graduater
an AI-didn't-exist-yet bachelorette
a TTÜ turned TalTech alumnus
IYKYK, yet here i am
an overly proud student
studying psychology
at Estonia's national university
while generating corporate revenue
and saving lives, overseas?
roaming the streets of Tartu
i feel out of place
out of space
mostly out of money
however, oddly familiar
living a life i could have chosen
10 years ago
studying the field i considered, first
study something that earns well
i did, so now i can pay
for my actual interests
instead of interest
for a lack of interest
